2014 is shaping up to be a busy and exciting year for us. Unfortunately, this means that this will be our last post here at By Way of Beauty.
All things must come to an end, and our little blog is no exception.
When we carved out this space on the inter-web to write about music and movies in the summer of 2011, we never expected it to become what it has. It's led to some incredible opportunities - but more importantly, so many incredible people.
We owe a big thank you to First Thoughts, The Dish, Frightfully Pleased, Cosmos the in Lost, and all the other blogs that linked back to ours. Also, we're indebted to Bill, Dan, Brandon, Tito, Colin, Cale, Mandi, Sarah, and everyone who consistently supported and shared our content over social media. Thank you all so much!
Well, that's the sad news. The happy news is that we will keep all of these pages up for as long as possible. And more importantly, when a door closes, windows fly open. We believe that nothing is more crucial in today's world than re-discovering ancient truths about man and God, and that the way of beauty is especially fertile land for the search. That's the only reason we started this blog, and we will continue to explore that possibility - one of us, with original plays, scripts, and poetry, the other, at Aleteia and Word on Fire. None of this marks an end to our writing; in fact, it's just been one long beginning.
We will see you all in the wild west of the digital continent, or maybe God willing someday in person. If not, until we all reach that great beyond, it's time to say...
